We recently completed an extensive signage project for The Headline, the latest major residential development from Grainger plc in Leeds. The Headline is located on the historic site of the former Yorkshire Post building on Wellington Street and represents Grainger’s inaugural build-to-rent project in the city, comprising 242 stylish new homes.
As part of the project, we manufactured and installed hundreds of pieces of external and internal signage, including wayfinding, room numbers, branding elements and more. The designs were created by leading consultancy F.R.A and fabricated using high-quality materials like Corian to ensure durability and visual impact.
A key component was the creation of large-scale illuminated signs that have become an eye-catching feature of the development. We constructed multiple built-up letters and logos which were integrated with LED lighting, allowing them to stand out on the building exterior both day and night. These signage elements helped reinforce the distinct identity of The Headline.
Internally, we implemented an extensive signage system across the many apartment blocks, with wayfinding to guide residents and visitors to amenities and apartments. Durable materials were chosen to withstand high traffic, and the signs were designed to integrate seamlessly with the contemporary interior aesthetic.
Overall, our striking signage scheme has provided The Headline with functional, design-led visual communications that complement the ambitious vision for this residential project while also enhancing navigation and branding onsite.
